  • What is included in my session?

    All sessions include location scouting, wardrobe consultation (optional styleboard provided based on the location you choose), online gallery of both web and print versions of included images, Tips & Tricks guide to help you prepare, postproduction and retouching of images and 6 family members. Any additional family members are charged at $25 per person.

  • What happens after I book with you?

    After you book, I will send a survey to learn a bit more about you. Then I will schedule a zoom or call with you to learn a bit more about you and your family and what you are hoping to get out of the photos. Not into calls? All good, you can email me or text me at any time with question or ideas in the weeks leading up to your session.

  • Do you shoot locations outside of Calgary?

    Yes! Love it! For an additional $100 I also do Mountain sessions and Drumheller session (my personal fave).

  • How long will it take to get my photos?

    Generally, photos will be delivered via an online gallery within 2-3 weeks (sometimes sooner depending how over zealous I am). During busy seasons like Fall/Christmas we will sometimes have more than 5 sessions in the editing queue so it could be closer to 3 weeks but I usually just lock myself in the basement and get it done!

  • How do I get my photos after?

    Your photos will be delivered to your email in an online gallery. From that gallery you can download web versions or high resolution files for print. From that gallery you also have the option to purchase print products directly from me.

  • Can we bring our dog to our session?

    Of course! Absolutely without a doubt (see above)! I love when doggos make an appearance at sessions. They usually add another level of chaos which I absolutely love.

  • What happens if you get sick or injured and can’t photograph me?

    If it is not possible to reschedule, I have a few photographer friends in my back pocket with the same style who will take over for me! Rest assured you are in good hands.

  • What if I need to reschedule?

    I have a one reschedule policy and I will do my best to accommodate a new date. If we reschedule due to bad weather, that doesn’t count as the one reschedule.

  • How many photos will I get?

    All my packages include a minimum number of delivered images. You will be provided with a full gallery of images, from which you can choose the number that your package covered. If there are more images you would like from the session, they are available to purchase at an additional $20 per image.

  • How will I know what to wear?

    I will send a Tips & Tricks guide for you as well as a survey. In the survey you can indicate whether or not you would like a style board done. The style board will be based on the location you choose and I will send you outfit ideas and colour that compliment the colours of the location you chose. You can also send me pictures of outfits you have in mind and I can help you decide what would work best.

  • Will you pose my family? I’m not that photogenic.

    I think everyone I have photographed has said “I feel awkward in photos… help me!” I’m not much for posing people but I do have a few prompts up my sleeve that help create authentic and natural photos. I want to get that genuine emotion to come through in your photos. This is why I like to have a zoom or coffee date with you before hand. I want you to feel comfortable with me and I want to get a feel for who you are. Sometimes providing direction will simply be me guiding you to do something that I know will get a genuine laugh and that’s where the magic happens.

  • Am I allowed to print the photos you provide me?

    Of course! And PLEASE DO! Display them! I can’t stress this enough. You can print on your own, or you can order through me. I have a great printer I use for all my own prints and I absolutely LOVE being able to see my photos daily. My kids love them too! They always ask to look through our photo books. Plus I want them to have something they can hold on to when we aren’t around anymore.

  • How do I book a date?

    Head over to my contact page. You can call, email or fill out the contact form. I try to respond within 24 hours.

  • How much retouching do you do?

    Every image you receive is hand edited for colour, contrast, vibrancy and style. I also do small skin retouches and enhancements. Things like body reshaping and wrinkle removal are not part of my packages but chat with me, if there is something you want me to be aware of, please let me know.

  • Will my photos show up on your website?

    It is important to be able to showcase my work, however I have clients who wish to stay off social media. Of course that is absolutely, 100% your choice and I respect that. When you book a session, I send a model release. This allows me to publish my work on my website and social media. If this is not something you are comfortable with, or you have certain restrictions (no names or faces), chat with me, we can work something out.

  • What is your backup policy for photos?

    I have dual memory card slots so as soon as I take a photo, it is instantly written to two memory cards. As soon as I arrive home from the session, the images are downloaded to my computer and backed up on my hard drive. Once your session has been delivered to you, I save all final images on my hard drive.

  • What is your payment structure?

    There is a 25% non-refundable retainer due upon booking, with the remaining balance to be paid on the day of the session. There is a one reschedule policy in place to account for sickness or life that gets in the way, provided I have another date available. I understand investing in professional photos is just that, an investment. So if you need another payment schedule, let’s work together to make sure it works for you!

  • What forms of payment do you accept?

    I accept PayPal, email money transfer or cash.

  • Can I share my photos online?

    Absolutely! My favourite way of sharing photos is online! I only ask that if you share, you tag me or credit me or my website for the work I have created and that if uploading to a service like Instagram, you do not apply filters to the work I have created for you.
